With over 12 years of expertise in sales and marketing within the retail industry, Himanshu developed a profound understanding of customer /preferences and brand building, which he now channels into his dream venture, Chak De Chaap.

Early Life and Inspiration

Growing up in New Delhi, Himanshu was surrounded by the vibrant food culture of the capital, where street food and traditional flavors tell the stories of generations.

His love for authentic North Indian cuisine, especially Delhi’s famous Soya Chaap, became the foundation for his entrepreneurial aspirations.

A vegetarian himself, Himanshu appreciated how Soya Chaap—a protein-rich, mock meat alternative—bridged the gap for vegetarians craving the texture and flavors of traditional tandoori dishes.

Journey into Entrepreneurship

In October 2024, Himanshu turned his passion into a reality by establishing Chak De Chaap, a fully vegetarian restaurant located in Satya Nagar, Borivali West, Mumbai.

The restaurant’s rustic, dhaba-inspired ambiance is designed to evoke the charm of Punjab and Delhi, offering diners an immersive experience that complements the food.

Himanshu’s goal is not just to serve meals but to bring the spirit of Delhi’s streets to Mumbai’s bustling 15food scene.

At the heart of Chak De Chaap is the beloved Soya Chaap, a mock meat crafted from soybean, known for its nutritional value and high protein content, making it a favorite among gym-goers and vegetarians.
