Akshayakalpa Organic Aims for 100% Consumer Engagement in Recycling Efforts

As the world grapples with the devastating impact of plastic pollution, Akshayakalpa Organic is proud to announce its unwavering commitment to sustainability with its revolutionary ‘Give Back the Milk Pack’ initiative. On the occasion of World Earth Day, under the theme ‘Planet vs. Plastics,’ Akshayakalpa Organic reaffirms its dedication to combating plastic waste and forging a path towards a greener, more sustainable future. The brand, in collaboration with its delivery partners, has streamlined the plastic recycling process, making it incredibly convenient for consumers. Now, all it takes is placing the empty plastic packets back into the Akshayakalpa bag each day, to ensure seamless recycling.

In today’s disposable culture, the proliferation of single-use plastics poses a grave threat to our environment. Shockingly, 380 million tonnes of plastic is generated annually, yet only 9% of this vast amount is recycled, the rest ending up in landfills and oceans, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The consequences of this unchecked pollution are dire, with marine life suffering, ecosystems destabilized, and human health compromised.

In response to this urgent environmental challenge, Akshayakalpa Organic has spearheaded the ‘Give Back the Milk Pack’ initiative, aimed at reducing plastic waste and promoting recycling. Started in 2022, by providing consumers with the means to return their empty milk packs for responsible recycling, the brand has successfully collected over 30,000 kilograms of plastic from Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. This collective effort underscores the power of small actions in driving meaningful change when individuals unite for a common cause.

“Plastic pollution is not just an environmental issue – it’s a humanitarian crisis that demands urgent action,” says Mr. Shashi Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO of Akshayakalpa Organic. Highlighting the environmental impact of packaging materials, he further, stated, “To produce just one liter of milk, conventional plastic packaging requires approximately 12 grams of plastic. However, Akshayakalpa has transitioned to paperboard packaging for many of its products, significantly reducing the plastic footprint to just 3 grams per liter. Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond mere rhetoric; it is ingrained in every aspect of our operations.”

Akshayakalpa Organic aims to engage 100% of its consumers in the recycling initiative over the next 3-4 years, emphasizing the collective responsibility we share in safeguarding our planet for future generations. Through ongoing sustainability efforts and initiatives like the ‘Give Back the Milk Pack,’ the brand is dedicated to fostering a greener, more sustainable future.

Akshayakalpa is not confined to sustainable packaging for its dairy products alone; it extends its commitment to eco-friendly practices by utilizing sustainable packaging for vegetables and fruits as well. This dedication underscores the brand’s ongoing efforts to explore and adopt alternative sustainable packaging methods wherever feasible.

Beyond its innovative recycling program, Akshayakalpa Organic is committed to raising awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution and promoting sustainable alternatives. The company’s brand video, featuring testimonials from consumers, employees, and stakeholders, serves as a powerful reminder of the collective impact we can achieve when we unite for a common cause.

As we commemorate World Earth Day, let us reflect on the impact of our choices and join hands to protect the planet we call home. Together, we can make a difference.

This allows community health workers to focus on caring for the communities while providing public health officials with hyperlocal insights to make informed, data-driven decisions. With a decade of experience in the state of Rajasthan, they are now enhancing and scaling CHIP, building it as an opensource Digital Public Good, to enable different states in digitizing primary care beginning with Karnataka.

They will now test a cluster-based e-clinic model that harnesses technology and a community-driven service model to facilitate doctor consultations, medicine purchases and pathology testing closer to home for over 100,000 patients in Uttar Pradesh’ Barabanki district.

“In regions where the doctor-to-population ratio is as alarming as 1:30,000, we are piloting a phygital model with ACT’s support to bridge this gap. Streffie at Powergen India 2025—Turning Energy Chaos into Personal Insight: Report

At POWERGEN India 2025, Solh Wellness used its AI-powered Streffie kiosk to monitor delegates’ stress levels, translating real-time physiological data into an actionable understanding.

Amid discussions on grid modernization, clean energy transitions, and low-carbon strategies, a small but telling presence quietly observed the human side of the event. At POWERGEN India 2025, co-located with Indian Utility Week and Bharat Electricity at Yashobhoomi, IICC, Dwarka, from September 2–4, Streffie, the stress-monitoring kiosk by Solh Wellness, monitored the emotional state of delegates, reminding attendees that energy transitions are not only about powering systems, but also about supporting people mentally.

The results were striking. Among attendees, 35.7 % registered moderate stress, 62.1 % high stress, and 2.2 % very high stress. These numbers echo a global mental health crisis: more than one billion people worldwide live with disorders such as anxiety and depression, now the second-leading cause of long-term disability, according to the World Health Organization. Kapil Gupta, Founder of Solh Wellness, says: “When industries count kilowatts, they often overlook the kilohertz of the heart. Streffie reminds us that human strain isn’t background noise, it’s the signal we cannot afford to ignore.”These findings set the stage for the moments on the show floor that made stress visible in real-time, and where attendees encountered their own mental load firsthand.

Stress isn’t a private problem anymore; it’s epidemic. Whether you’re a CEO losing sleep over grid resiliency, an engineer juggling policy shifts, or a visitor navigating café lines, this event made one thing clear: nobody’s immune to overload. Streffie turned those unspoken stress levels into visible data – the kind that provokes not guilt or panic, but reflection.

This kind of capability? It’s not just useful – it’s necessary. If an intermediate event can prompt people to notice their own stress, imagine what integrating Streffie into future summits, conferences, or wellness zones could do. Real-time stress feedback could move from novelty to norm.
