SMFG India Credit has made history by achieving a Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Cattle Welfare Lesson (Multiple Venues)’ with 517 participants across 6 venues in India. This milestone was accomplished as part of the company’s 7th edition of Pashu Vikas Day (PVD), the largest one-day cattle care camps across the country. These camps were simultaneously held in 500 locations across 16 states, benefiting around 1,90,000 beneficiaries (1,50,000 cattle and 40,000 cattle owners).

In India, approximately 65-70% of the rural population relies on agriculture or agriculture-related activities for their livelihood. Hence, cattle and livestock play a crucial role in their livelihood generation activities and financial wellbeing. Recognizing this unbreakable bond, SMFG India Credit celebrated the 7th edition of Pashu Vikas Day under the theme ‘Mera Pashu Mera Parivar,’ reinforcing the importance of livestock in the lives of these rural families.

The Board of Directors of Sinclairs Hotels Limited, at its meeting held on Friday 22nd December 2023, have approved and recommended the issuance of fully paid bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 out of its free reserves created out of profit, subject to shareholders’ approval. The record date for the entitlement of bonus shall be announced later. 

The pre-bonus paid-up equity share capital as on date is Rs 5,12,60,000/- divided into 2,56,30,000 Equity Shares of Rs 2/- each while the post bonus equity share capital will double to Rs 10,25,20,000/- comprising of 5,12,60,000 Equity Shares of Rs 2/- each. 

The company has convened an Extraordinary General Meeting of the shareholders on Thursday 18th January 2024 for seeking shareholders’ approval.

Sinclairs Hotels Limited had recently done a buy-back of 15,20,000 equity shares of Rs 2/- each at a price of Rs 200/- per share amounting to Rs 30,40,00,00/- The buy back of shares was completed on 25th October 2023.

Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, one of the leading multi-superspecialty quaternary care hospitals in Karnataka, commemorated World Parkinson’s Awareness Month today by organizing the TULIPS & SPARKS – THE SOLIDARITY WALK at Ramaiah Campus with the participation of 50+ PD warriors, their brave heart caregivers, physicians and other hospital staff. The Solidarity Walk aimed to raise awareness about Parkinson’s disorder that afflicts more than 7 million Indians as per a Lancet Study. The short yet effective 250-metre walk was followed by a sumptuous breakfast and insightful health talks by Neurologist, Neurosurgeon, Physiotherapist, Speech & Swallow Therapist and a trained PD nurse.   These health talks focused on the different aspects of managing Parkinson’s disease. The event was thoughtfully themed using tulips and sparks, the two symbols that describe the two aspects of the disorder – living with hope while experiencing a sudden jolt in the brain.      

Tulips and Sparks – The Solidarity Walk at Ramaiah Memorial Hospital celebrated the indomitable spirit of our PD warriors despite the challenges that they face in their everyday life. Through this Solidarity Walk, a continuation of last year’s Tulips & Sparks annual event, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital hoped to raise the much-needed awareness regarding Parkinson’s disease including identification of the symptoms at its early onset as well as bringing forth the various therapeutic ways through which the disorder can be managed effectively and efficiently.
