BBC : Amazing food, Served hot, Clean place, Good waiters and of course pleasant ambience

Borivali biriyani centre, better known as BBC has more centres in Mumbai but the menu varies quite a lot. We were recommended tangdi kebab.

We enjoyed paya soup, rawas koliwada and paneer Koliwada. Biriyani was great & spicy. It is a decent ambience and fast service.
Amazing food. Served hot. Good waiters. Clean place. And of course pleasant ambience. I would recommend it.

Biryani was awesome…one must go there atleast once and taste its biryani…..they will never forget its taste..I’m pretty sure.
Borivali biryani serves the most authentic biryanis in town. The Rice is so long and well cooked the aroma of biryani is just wonderful the meat and chicken in biryani is so well cooked and tender you can’t just deny from having the quantity and quality of biryani is just wonderful.

No compromise in flavours everything served here is fresh and healthy. The Delivery pack is so good.
Chicken tikka biryani is my favourite and tandoori. The place is very spacious and open atmosphere. Crowd is decent. Taste is worth the price. Staff is polite. Order doesn’t take much time.

This is one place in Mumbai where you can get authentic biryani. It was just too good to be true. After filling ourselves with the mouthwatering biryani we tried the custurd, just heavenly !!!
Not to be missed. Will definitely go there again whenever nearby. A must vist place if you love good muglai food.Like Biryani? Love Biryani? Relish on Biryani? Try the Borivali Biryani Centre also known as BBC.

I have been here with my family for dinner and it turned out to be one of the best places to relish on the variety of biryanis offered.
Authentic non-veg food. Tasty kababs and biryani. Dum biryani is a must try dish. Butter chicken and chicken tikka masala gravy is also nice if you want to have with butter naan/roti.

Total Value for money place. Good Biryani, nicely cooked food, Nicely maintained place, hygienic, neat and clean, easy accessibility
We ordered Mutton Biryani, Chicken tikka biryani, and egg biryani.
To be honest, the mutton and tikka biryani were the best and worth for a second round. However, the egg biryani was average.

We picked up our veg biryani form here for the first time. Quality is nice. Quantity is also worth the price. I like spicy food and I enjoyed it. Must try once.
Keep a note that order only 1 biryani since the quantity is more and could serve 2 people.

BBC serves excellent Biryani. We had the Chicken Biryani & it was indeed very nice. They have a large seating area & is really a value for money restaurant.
This is an awesome family restaurant best for non-veg. We visited on wednesday when it was crowded yet the service was good.

We ordered chicken tandoori and noorani kebab. The kebab mix of mutton and chicken were delicious.Main course we had the signature dum biryani which is also yum to have here.
A budgeted hotel with good taste. This is a true place for biryani lovers not for casual walk ins.Texture of biryani is authentic and taste is truly delicious. For vegetarian paneer tikka biryani is not to be miss at any cost. And vegetable biryani is good too.

Biryani tends to be spicy in original form but if you wish mild ones do instruct at the time placing the order.
The biryani is very good specially the Chicken tikka biryani & the Qty is also very filling if you ever order the large portion then its good enough to serve min. 5-6 people & the paneer biryani is also very taste.

They even serve tandoori stuff. but unfortunately they don’t have a tandoori platter. this is one thing i would suggest they should start. their service is quick.
To start off you can order for masala papad with green chatni.
Ended up in BBC and we did enjoy the yummy Biryani. We ended up eating 3 full biryani as it was really tasty.

Borivali Biryani Centre ….house of a great combination of quality & quantity when it comes to serving Biryani.
Their amazing varieties as a result of thier constant endeavours, creative concepts of cooking methods with meat, vegetables, spices & garnishing results in the most flavourful and fragrant biryanis
Paneer tikka biryani for the vegetarians is a heavenly dish…a must have. We had ordered for our office lunch and we couldn’t have asked for more. The paneer was extremely soft. Borivali Biryani Centre has the bestest briyani according to me. Also the staff were amazing and kept serving us and when we were about to finish.
Now, here is the BBC Chef’s advise.,If you are a pure Vegetarian then you should compulsory taste the Veg.Matka Biryani & if you are a strong Non- Vegetarian then it’s a compulsion that you need to taste Chicken Matka Biryani & Mutton Matka Biriyani, else you have missed the world of good food.

Nice food tasty …..awesome interior …..best family visit place …best services ever …as well as waiting is also there because people will wait to have food there because it is just awesome.

Lotus Court : Michael’s dedication and commitment to excellence propelled LCR&B forward

Michael’s venture into the culinary world began with his catering services, where he poured his heart into crafting delicious meals that left guests raving about the flavors and quality.

Inspired by nature’s beauty, particularly the gradual blooming of a lotus flower, Michael saw parallels in his own journey.
Just as the lotus starts as a small bud and blossoms into a magnificent flower, he envisioned growing from a modest caterer to a successful restaurateur.

For over a quarter of a century, Michael has been a fixture in Dahisar East, diligently building his reputation and honing his craft. It all began with a cozy spot named Side Walk, where his culinary prowess earned him a loyal following.

Armed with valuable experience from prestigious five-star hotels and armed with a wealth of guest data, Michael felt ready to take the next big step.
In June 2009, Lotus Court Restaurant was born, marking the realization of Michael’s dreams. Despite the initial challenges, Michael’s dedication and commitment to excellence propelled the restaurant forward.

Fast forward to the present, and Lotus Court Restaurant has not only endured but thrived, celebrating 14 years of culinary excellence. One of the restaurant’s standout features is its selection of seafood dishes, which quickly became the talk of the town, drawing patrons from far and wide.

With 12 fruitful years spent at Side Walk, Michael brought his wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new venture, ensuring its success.
When scouting for the perfect location for Lotus Court, Michael stumbled upon an opportunity at Orchid Plaza, where a shuttered vegetarian restaurant presented a blank canvas.

With keen foresight and a knack for seizing opportunities, Michael transformed the space into a culinary haven. As word of mouth spread and the crowds swelled, Michael saw the need for expansion.

Renting two additional flats, Michael seamlessly integrated them into the restaurant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere with ample seating for families and groups.
The attention to detail extends to the interiors, where every element is carefully curated to enhance the dining experience, from the elegant decor to the cozy ambiance.

Michael’s journey from humble beginnings to culinary success is a testament to his passion, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

As Lotus Court Restaurant & Bar continues to flourish, Michael remains dedicated to delighting guests with exceptional food and hospitality, ensuring that every visit is a memorable experience.

Dab & Dew was born from my love for fruit-powered skincare and a simple belief

There’s a new face in town, and it’s got that dewy glow. Say hello to Dab & Dew, a next-gen skincare brand that believes taking care of your skin should feel less like a chore and more like a celebration. Launching on June 10, Dab & Dew makes its debut with a lineup featuring a calendula-infused toner, a blueberry serum, and a hydrating moisturiser filled with jojoba oil globules. Every product is designed to match your skin’s mood and your vibe.
Because let’s face it, our skin isn’t the same every day, and our routine shouldn’t be either. Whether it’s post-sun sulkiness, pre-party prep, or just a no-makeup Monday, Dab & Dew makes it easy to listen to your skin and love what you see. No complicated rituals, no 10-step dramas, just fun, effective skincare that feels as good as it looks, and works just as hard as you do.
At the heart of Dab & Dew is a commitment to clean, conscious beauty tailored specifically for Indian skin and the uniquely unpredictable Indian climate. But while the ingredients are serious, the experience is anything but boring, clinical, or complicated
Founded by Riddhi Vasudeva, Dab & Dew was born from a simple yet powerful idea: skincare should make you happy. After years of navigating complicated routines, harsh formulas, and one too many products that promised the world and delivered a breakout, Riddhi went back to her roots, literally. She remembered the fruit-powered DIYs her nani swore by and decided to marry that nostalgic wisdom with modern skincare science. What came out of that union was a brand that ditches the drama and delivers the dew.
“Dab & Dew was born from my love for fruit-powered skincare and a simple belief: skincare should feel like self-care, not a chore. It all started with one idea, skincare should make you happy and help you glow, inside and out. We set out to build a world where formulas are gentle and fruits aren’t just for your fancy smoothies—they’re front and center in skincare that’s effective and fun”— Riddhi Vasudeva, Founder, Dab & Dew
Crafted with clean, vegan, cruelty-free ingredients and infused with antioxidant-rich fruits like raspberry, blueberry, avocado, and kakadu plum, the range is designed to nourish, soothe, and protect without overwhelming your skin—or your shelf space. Every texture is dreamy, every scent is subtle yet refreshing, and every product is a little reminder that beauty should be fun, not fussy. Dab & Dew’s philosophy is beautifully captured in its tagline: “Dew the best version of you.” It’s not about changing your face or chasing unrealistic perfection—it’s about embracing your skin
This is skincare made for Indian skin and real-life Indian weather. It’s fresh. It’s functional. It’s fun. And it’s finally here.

CXOs need to do more to build customer trust in their AI deployments

EY India “Responsible AI Pulse Survey” reveals a gap between how Indian consumers and C-suite executives perceive AI risk. While consumers express risk over job displacement, misinformation and loss of control, 27% of CXOs share these concerns underscoring an urgent need for stronger governance and a deeper engagement with public sentiment.
The survey highlights that 37% of CXOs struggle to develop AI governance frameworks that keep pace with today’s technologies, and 30% believe their current approach to technology risk is inadequate for the next wave of AI. By contrast, consumer respondents are far more uneasy: 68% worry about AI-generated false information being taken seriously, 56% fear significant job losses, and 61% are concerned that AI could spiral beyond human control. Yet 73% of organizations report having AI em-bedded in key initiatives, suggesting many leaders may be underestimating the social and reputational risks.
“Our survey reveals a widening confidence gap: consumers are deeply uneasy about misinformation, job displacement and unchecked AI, yet a smaller portion of CXOs share those worries,” says Mahesh Makhija, Partner & Technology Consulting Leader, EY India. “Closing this gap starts with em-bedding robust governance, clear accountability and open dialogue with your customers at every stage of the AI lifecycle.”
That confidence gap extends across all pillars of Responsible AI. Despite these gaps, Indian enterprises are steadily advancing their AI maturity. 30% of CXOs report fully integrated, scaled AI solutions enterprise-wide; 43% say AI is em-bedded in most initiatives and is being refined to transform operations; and the remaining 27% are aligning AI integration with a strategic roadmap. Notably, none of the surveyed organizations remain at pilot or proof-of-concept stages, signalling a broad shift from experimentation to operationalization and scale.
Experience Japan: Explore Well-Being Through Food Culture at Le Cordon Bleu

As part of their ongoing commitment to cultural exchange and culinary excellence, the Embassy of Japan in India, in collaboration with Le Cordon Bleu (GD Goenka University) and Ajinomoto Co., Inc Co., recently hosted a two-day culinary masterclass titled, ‘Experience Japan: Explore Well-being through Food Culture.’ This masterclass sought to promote the exchange of culinary expertise between Indian and Japanese cuisines, with a focus on creating healthy and delicious food.
In India, there is an increasing demand for food that is not only nutritious but also rich in flavour. This growing interest in well-being through food aligns seamlessly with the Japanese way of eating, known as Washoku. Washoku refers to the traditional Japanese dietary culture that emphasizes a harmonious balance between the ingredients, their preparation, and presentation. It involves using seasonal ingredients to create meals that are both nutritionally balanced and visually appealing. Recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, Washoku embodies principles of respect for nature and is known for its use of umami – the fifth basic taste – to naturally enhance flavours, making healthy meals more satisfying and appetizing.
The masterclass featured live demonstrations, interactive sessions, and tastings led by renowned culinary experts, including Japanese Chef Dr. Takuji Takahashi, the CEO and Chef of the Michelin-starred Kinobu Restaurant in Kyoto and a member of the Japanese Culinary Academy (NPO); Dr. Hiroya Kawasaki, the Executive Specialist of Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Food Research Institute and Director of the Japanese Culinary Academy (NPO); and Chef Ajay Chopra, the Managing Director of Zion Hospitality, an Indian MasterChef, and a well-known consultant and media personality. Participants were immersed in the art of Washoku and explored the role of umami, inspiring them to adapt these techniques and concepts into their own culinary creations, enriching Indian cuisine.
“Ajinomoto Co., Inc. is proud to have collaborated on this culinary masterclass, which underscores our commitment to promoting umami and its role in enhancing flavour and nutrition. We believe this exchange will inspire chefs to create more health-conscious and delicious dishes, benefiting the lives of people across India and strengthening our connections with the culinary community.” – Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Mr. Shigeyuki Takeuchi, Associate General Manager, Science Group, Global Communications Department.
As Chefs, we have the unique opportunity to not only create dishes but also promote a deeper understanding of the cultural significance behind the ingredients we use. This masterclass has been a remarkable platform to share the principles of Washoku, emphasizing the harmony of nutrition and flavour, and I hope it inspires the next generation of chefs to embrace these values in their culinary journeys.” remarked Chef Dr. Takuji Takahashi.
“At Le Cordon Bleu, Gurugram, we are honoured to collaborate on initiatives that bridge cultures through the universal language of food. This masterclass exemplified the fusion of culinary traditions, where Indian and Japanese expertise came together to promote health, flavour and artistry. We believe that the exchange of such knowledge inspires our students to embrace culinary innovation while preserving cultural authenticity.” – Prof. Rajiv Gulshan, Dean, Le Cordon Bleu, Gurugram.
“During these sessions, please consider how umami might apply to Indian cuisine. Could the principles of umami be used to enhance the flavors in Indian dishes? How might techniques inspired by dashi contribute to creating healthy, flavorful Indian foods? The purpose of this exchange is to enrich both culinary traditions. It’s an opportunity to discover new ways to create delicious and nutritious meals.” remarked Mr. Takashi Ariyoshi, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Japan in India.
