Dr. Niranjan Shastri, Program Chairperson, School Of Commerce at SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University’s Indore campus, has created ripples in the field of education for receiving the Most Influential Lecturer 2022 (Global Champion) Award in Teaching Excellence Category jointly from AICPA, USA, and CIMA, UK and has made the entire nation proud. The award is given in recognition of the efforts of the world’s best management accounting professors. And, being chosen a winner of the coveted award among 650 other applicants from around the world is certainly no mean achievement.
An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Indore, Dr Shastri’s list of academic achievements and credentials is endless. He is a Fellow Member (with All India Rank) of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, Associate Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, besides being an Empaneled Financial Education Resource Person of Securities & Exchange Board of India and National Institute of Securities Markets, to name just a few.
Fields like statutory cost audit & compliances, management assurance audit & internal audit, cost management, management control systems, business strategy, personal financial planning, accounting and control are his areas of speciality.
In his 20 years of teaching experience and five years of industrial experience, he has reviewed many books, published and presented international and national research papers & case studies, besides guiding a number of Doctoral and PG Research works in the area of business management.
Given his rich academic experience, it is little wonder that Dr Shastri won the award which is based on innovative pedagogy, outstanding assessment techniques, peer appreciation, alumni applaud, industry connections, management’s views and his own commitment towards lifelong learning.
