Tasty Nibbles, an international food brand based in Kerala, has launched in its ready-to-eat segment three favourite dishes of Malayalis — Fish Curry with Coconut Milk, Fish Curry with Chilli and Shappile (Toddy Shop) Curry. Tasty Nibbles Managing Director Cherian Kurian handed over the products to actor Divya Pillai and launched them at a function held at the Taj Gateway Hotel in Kochi earlier this .
Addressing a press meet held as part of the function, Cherian Kurian said the three signature dishes from Kerala could now be made available anywhere in the world from Tasty Nibbles convenience packs in the same taste and flavour they were known for in native homes.
The products, each priced at Rs 150 for 185 g, will be available at outlets across India. “Open the pack, heat it for two minutes and the dish is ready to serve,” he added.
Tasty Nibbles works closely with its principal shareholder, Higashimaru International Corporation, of Japan, and maintains in its HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)-approved factory world-class processing standards and quality control protocols that ensure the fish is free of pollutants and chemical additives.
No added preservatives
Tasty Nibbles uses a unique sterilisation process called retort processing in which pre-cooked food, in a hermetically-sealed pouch or can, is heated under high pressure and temperature. “This permits storage at room temperature for over two years, the nutrients intact and without preservatives,” he said.
Major producer of Canned Tuna
Tasty Nibbles is a major producer and exporter of Canned Tuna in India. Tasty Nibbles Canned Light Meat and White Meat Tuna are available as Chunks and Flakes in Water, Water Salt added, Sunflower Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Tomato Sauce and Mayo
Tasty Nibbles offers Canned Sardine and is a major exporter of Freeze-Dried Shrimp. It offers a wide range of Ready-To-Eat and Ready-To-Cook products, including Biryanis, Curries, Pickles and Snacks
Expanding business
Sunil Krishnan, Assistant Vice-President, Sales, Tasty Nibbles, said that Tasty Nibbles was aiming to be the number one Indian tuna brand in the global market.
“We are on a fast growth trajectory. Within a year, we want to be the number one player in the non-vegetarian pickles segment.
Right now, our focus is on expanding our distribution network in major Indian metros. E-commerce will remain a thrust area enabling us to reach out to 20,000 pin codes across India,” he added.
Frozen fish
The company has ventured into the Curry-Cut / Pan-Ready fish segment by introducing Seer Fish, Mahi Mahi and Tuna variants.
The products are currently available in Ernakulam district and will soon be distributed elsewhere.
The company has also entered the frozen food segment by offering Ready-To-Fry Vegetable/Fish/Prawn Cutlets, Spring rolls and other snacks.
