Technology company STEER, which specializes in solutions for effectively transforming and functionalizing materials in the field of plastics, pharmaceuticals, food & nutraceuticals, biomaterials, and biorefining, today announced the appointment of Nitin Gupta, as the new Global CEO of the organization. At STEER, Nitin has been given the mandate of engaging deeply in the process of commercialization and ensuring that the company’s technological advancements reach the industry and the consumer.
Welcoming Nitin Gupta into STEER, Dr. Babu Padmanabhan, Managing Director and Chief Knowledge Officer of STEER, said, “Our Engineering business has the meaningful opportunity to transform the manufacturing paradigm in food, pharmaceutical, and plastic process industries among others on a global scale. We have succeeded in creating a large body of work evidenced by the collection of intellectual property. Nitin is completely well-informed of our goals, fully embraced of our vision, especially with respect to the creation of an autonomous manufacturing system, and ready to take this forward with a clear sense of urgency.”
Until recently, Nitin was Director APAC, Middle East & Africa with Tetra Pak Processing Solutions & Equipment based out of Singapore with primary responsible for Channel Management, Strategic Partnerships, and Key Components Management. He takes over the mandate at STEER from Subodh Jindal, who was the CEO from December 2020. Nitin said, “I am delighted as well as honored to be part of STEER at this crucial juncture of growth. During his 15 years in Thermax and 5 years in GEA, Nitin was primarily engaged in turnkey project sales for a variety of end segments. Nitin holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka graduating in the year 1996
